THREW THE YEARS OF MY LIFE, MY UNCLE WAS A FATHER TO ME. TAUGHT ME EVERYTHING I KNOW HOW TO DO TODAY. AND SOME OF IT WAS THE STUPID STUFF, LIKE HOW TO RAKE A YARD. BUT I LOOK BACK AND THAT TAUGHT ME HOW TO DO IT BETTER. I NEVER REALLY SPENT NO TIME WITH MY UNCLE AS I GOT OLDER, HE WANTED ME TO BUT I DIDN'T. NOW THAT HE IS GONE I WISH I HAD. LIFE STILL FEELS LONELY WITH OUT HIM HERE. I LOST MY FRIEND AND A FATHER WHEN HE DIED. BUT I GAINED STRENGTH. I LOVE YOU UNCLE DAVE WITH ALL MY HEART. REST IN PEACE BIG MAN.

Davie and Michael Whipp are up in heaven causing trouble together. Smile, at least they are together. Friends for life.

Davie, What can I say... I just saw you in wawa a short time ago with Jackie and your mom. I will never forget growing up in the Van Leer household as a kid. My mom and yours cooking and canning everything from tomatoes to asparagus. You, Billy, Joey, and all of you,and your father in the background hollering about something or another, seeing who could be the loudest I guess. Our families were closer than most in those days. I think of growing up in the Van Leer house a lot and take that with me every day. A lot of laughs and yes some tears. RIP my brother... You will be missed.

if I were writing on a grave stone I would write he tried.he was a good friend to me and my family.if GOD doesnt let dave into heaven then there is no hope for us.we never saw the bad in him.he lived a tough life.may you find the peace you always searched for dave.

We will really miss Davie, he lived with us for three and a half years, and we had so many wonder times with him. All eight of our children will miss you so much.
